About

I paint large-scale wildlife portraits focused on presence, tension, and atmosphere.

Working primarily in oil, each painting is built gradually through layered detail, controlled lighting, and subtle transitions designed to create a sense of emergence from darkness.

Rather than producing large collections, I focus on a small number of carefully developed works each year. Some paintings evolve over extended periods of refinement before reaching completion.

The intention is not simply realism, but emotional impact — work that feels still, watchful, and deeply present.
